Chaplains are faithfully serving God and country in all branches of our U.S. military. Many have left secular jobs or pastoral ministry in local churches to fulfill this special calling to indigenous ministry among our Armed Forces. We love our chaps!

Military believers are living and sharing their faith as they wear the uniform and serve the nation through military service. Military faith is real and has been throughout recorded history. These ordinary Christ followers are leading Bible studies, discipling and mentoring other believers, serving in their communities, and volunteering in local churches and chapel communities – wherever they live, train, and serve. They are making a difference and leaving a footprint.

We are thankful for a great foundation and heritage of religious liberty in our nation. The first amendment of our U.S. Constitution guarantees the right of every American to practice his or her own religion or no religion at all. This includes those serving in our Armed Forces. We respect this right and are thankful for it.

The needs of today’s military singles and families are indeed great. There are glaring indicators of a major crisis. Ongoing conflicts and wars, multiple deployments, constant stress on marriages and families, and much more, have all taken their toll. Divorce, violence, suicide, depression, combat trauma, and PTSD, are some of the main indicators of the need for a more deliberate approach of ministry to the military, especially among churches.

Whether it’s addressing the pressing needs of military through Christian outreach and ministry, or more deliberately equipping military believers for Christian discipleship, there are so many compelling reasons for Christians to join hands in gospel-centered military ministry!
